Is a Dri-Loc Pad. They are absorbent pads that create a protective barrier over your tattoo, shielding it from external contaminants and promoting optimal healing conditions.

This bandage remains in place for a few hours. Or ideally overnight until the next day.

If you have a large or hard-to-reach tattoo, you can do this in the shower 🚿. For smaller, more accessible tattoos like those on your forearm, use a clean sink.

First, peel off the paper tape around the tattoo. Remove the entire bandage, either in one piece or in sections, and throw it away 🗑️.

With clean hands, use a mild, fragrance-free soap 🧼. Gently wash the tattooed area with warm, soapy water until all fluids and excess ointment are gone. Pat the area dry with a clean paper towel or something that won't leave lint or debris on your tattooed skin.

Keep the tattoo and the area around it clean ✨. Let your tattooed skin breathe 😮‍💨 and don't cover or re-bandage it.

🧴 Moisturize with a fragrance-free lotion whenever your tattooed skin feels dry, looks flaky and tight. Use a small amount; you don't need a lot. Avoid using excessive or thick, greasy ointments. The key is to hydrate your fresh skin cells without suffocating them. 🧬

Your newly tattooed skin might have a silvery sheen 🪩 at first, but don't worry; this is normal. It will fade as your tattoo heals on and your skin cells fully regenerate. 🧬 Keep up with the lotion routine until the sheen is gone, and your skin returns to its normal texture and appearance.

🚰 Stay hydrated and keep your tattooed skin moisturized to speed up healing and encourage healthy skin cell regeneration.

Your tattooed area might feel a bit tight or dry, but that's normal.

Expect some peeling, flaking, and scabbing, especially in highly saturated color and black areas.

🚫 DON'T pick, scratch, or irritate your fresh tattoo.

🚫 AVOID skin products with alcohol, strong fragrances, or abrasive additives.

⚠️ LIMIT sun exposure. ☀️ The sun can age tattoos, causing them to blur, fade, and spread sooner. This especially affects detailed thin lines or fine details. Light-colored tattoos, like whites, pastels, yellows, and oranges, can fade faster in direct sun. If you're in the sun, use sunscreen, but only after a month of getting a new tattoo.

🩺 If you notice signs of infection, consult a doctor. Infections can happen if you swim in lakes or oceans with a fresh tattoo, or come into contact with dirt and other crud where germs can stick. 🦠
